Pop Pop Pets: Review and Giveaway!
I’ve shared before that my girls are obsessed with anything slime related and any kind of small collectible toy. If they had to choose their two favourite toys it would be those, absolutely. So imagine their excitement when they learned that there is a new toy on the market which combines both slime AND collectible toys! The new Pop Pop Pets!
Pop Pop Pets from Yulu are basically slime filled bubbles with 60 pet characters to find. You’re guaranteed 1 surprise pet for every 3 bubbles including super rare glitter pets. I know that when you’re six and seven, finding a “rare pet” is the be all and end all, and they couldn’t wait to get popping!
The bubbles are like little plastic capsules that you squeeze until they pop, the girls found it a little difficult at first but once they mastered the technique it was easy. With purple and pink slime it’s definitely an activity I recommend for outdoors!
The kids absolutely loved searching for the pets, and their excitement when they got one was contagious. The only thing I would have liked to see is some kind of container included for the slime as once you have popped the bubbles, there is nowhere for it to go. We just used some plastic bowls for the children to put it to play with and then transferred it to a Tupperware tub for storing.
The little pets are super cute and all have really fun names too. With Sushi seal and tennis kitty, not to mention a whole family of imaginary llama’s, the children were over the moon with their collections and I can see Pop Pop Pets becoming a firm favourite amongst them!
Pop Pop Pets are actually really reasonable compared to other collectible toys, with a 12 pack costing £7.99 from Smyths. You can also buy a little Pop Pop Pet carousel for imaginary play, something which my girls would adore!
