Easter Gift Guide *Win*
Every year when Easter comes around, I ask myself at what point did it go from getting a chocolate egg to being an excuse for a second Christmas? And as much as I say that I won’t be swept away by this new trend, meticulously planning Easter baskets brimming with goodies, I know that when it comes down to it…..I totally will.
So to save the rest of you a little time I have put together some affordable ideas for Easter gifts for the children.

1. Bluezoo blue bunny print T-shirt
I’m a sucker for themed clothing at this time of year and you don’t get better than a bunny! This gorgeous bunny print t-shirt from Bluezoo is adorable and, in ages 12 months to 6 years, is perfect for Easter. Even better, it’s currently on sale at just £4.20.

2. Teletubbies Meal Set
This Teletubbies meal set is a lovely little gift this Easter, with a plastic bowl and cup and three foiled eggs. I love that this is a practical gift as well as pleasing the children with the chocolate! Available at £5.99 from B&M, John Lewis and Blue Whale Gifts.

3. Bluezoo sequinned chick sweater
I absolutely adore this Bluezoo chick sweater, available in ages 12 months to 6 years. Made from super soft cotton with a very Spring like chick, decorated with sequins, it’s just perfect for this time of year! RRP £13-£14.

4. Teletubbies Lovely Day Jigsaw Book
Harry loves the Teletubbies and he would be over the moon with this book. Not only does it tell the story of the Teletubbies, but there are four jigsaw puzzles which are perfect for little hands. RRP £6.99 and available from supermarkets, book stores and online.

5. Mickey and the Roadsters Racer Vehicles
These Mickey and the Roadsters Racer Vehicles are the perfect size for Easter hampers, and at £4.99 won’t break the bank. With six of your child’s favourite characters to choose from they are a fun gift for little ones, recommended for age 3+.

6. Guittard chocolate baking wafers
If you haven’t heard of Guittard, they have been crafting their organic chocolate using French methods in San Francisco since 1868 and are now making waves here across the pond. Perfect for the home baker, the quality of the chocolate is excellent, and particularly for Easter they are delicious for nest cakes and chocolate moulding. Available from Lakeland, Whole Foods, M& S and Ocado.

7. Guylean Chocolate Egg
As much as I try not to buy the children too many eggs at Easter, I always buy a couple of good quality chocolate eggs and Guylian is always a favourite! Guylian produces the most amazing range of Belgian chocolates, exporting to over 100 countries, and my children literally go crazy for the praline Sea Shells! Available at all major supermarkets, I’m hoping for a Guylian egg this year!

8. Beech’s Fine Chocolate Bunny Family
A great alternative to an egg are these delicious Beech’s fine chocolate bunnies. Each member of the bunny family has a deliciously creamy caramel centre covered in velvety milk chocolate, and let me tell you they taste amazing!! At just £3.49 they are such a lovely gift for both children and adults!

9. Ritzy Rabbit Mug
Another practical but fun gift for Easter is a Ritzy Rabbit Mug, and I love this fun High Tea design! This fine bone china mug, hand decorated in the UK, is both dishwasher and microwave safe (perfect for hot chocolate!) and comes in a cardboard mug box with tissue paper and ribbon. With a RRP of £12 its a lovely gift for older children and I recommend taking a look over at the website for other rabbit themed gift ideas!

10. Minnie Mouse Fashion Doll
My girls would love this Minnie Mouse Fashion Doll, which comes with a 14cm doll, 3 glittering outfits and accessories to match. It even comes with a unique dressing room! The outfits can be mixed and matched with other dolls in the range, making it a fun collectible toy! With a RRP of £16.99 it would make an extra special Easter gift for Disney fans!

11. Haribo Bunny ‘n’ Friends
If you’re looking for a tasty alternative to the traditional chocolate Easter Egg, HARIBO’s got it cracked! Bunny ‘n’ Friends is a tasty new treat, launched just in time for Easter. Boasting bunny, sheep and chick shaped sweets, this extra special gift is perfectly presented in a bunny shaped box.

Tweeting its way back into stores is HARIBO Chick ‘n’ Mix. Fun and themed, this gift box is filled with tangy chicks, Starmix’s favourite Egg and pink and white squishy mini marshmallows.

You’d be hopping mad to miss out on HARIBO’s delicious gifts this Easter! For more details about the HARIBO Easter range, please visit www.haribo.com.
We are giving one lucky winner the chance to win all six Mickey and the Roadsters Racer Vehicle and the Minnie Mouse fashion doll!
The winner will be chosen at random and notified via email at close of competition on Sunday 22nd April. Good luck!

They had a small egg and then some of the toys that Santa left for the Easter Bunny. They had so many given at Christmas and a lot were part of the gifts from family members so they definitely didn’t miss the odd one or two. It’s working well at the moment, so hopefully can continue it this way for this Christmas too. We asked the people who were giving them gifts at Christmas if it was OK and they agreed and just bought a small egg which they were going to do as well, so they didn’t think we weren’t giving the presents out at all. We started that tradition when we ended up finding loads of Christmas presents hidden away months later and thought “well if we didn’t miss them then”. 🙂

Although we said that we wouldn’t go crazy on the eggs this year they filled the pantry and the kids are still making their way through them, however they also get DVD’s, clothing and craft supplies to keep them occupied during the Easter holidays and to minimise them having chocolate only. We do have a lot of freinds and the girls are very well liked and not wanting to tell people who we want for our kids we did end up with a LOT more eggs than anticipated due to moving to an area with a lot of OAP’s without family that seem to have adopted our little ladies.
