Dreamtex: Review & Giveaway

We’ve had all kinds of issues over the years getting the children to bed, every night a whole reel of excuses as to why they feel the need to go up and down the stairs – too hot, too cold, too hungry, too thirsty, too dark, too light, the list goes on and on. And although we have tried and failed countless ways to reinforce bedtime over the years, there was one thing we found really did help – character bedding! Allowing the children to pick out their choice of bedding, be that their favourite colours or their favourite television character or film, actually made a huge difference.

Recently we were offered a choice of bedding from the fantastic range at Dreamtex. Dreamtex believe that a child’s bedroom is more than just a place to sleep, it’s their own personal place to play, work, read, listen to music, and relax with their favourite characters. From pre-school characters to lifestyle and gaming, there is. something for everyone and yet for the girls, my decision was simple – L.O.L Surprise!

The girls have been obsessed with L.O.L Surprise! ever since they were small, fascinated by the different layers and hidden surprises, not to mention the adorable dolls they unwrapped at the end. So last month, when they went for a sleepover at the Grandparents, when they saw the Dreamtex L.O.L Surprise! bedding sets I had taken there that morning, they were beyond excited!

Fully reversible with an alternative design on the reverse side, the familiarity of their favourite characters had them completely at ease as we waved them goodbye and I remembered back to the days when this had been such a huge comfort to them.

The following weekend when it was Harry’s turn for his sleepover, having heard from the girls about their surprise bedding, he went running up the stairs ready to discover what lay in wait! As we heard his squeals of, “Oh wow PJ Masks!!!” it was pretty obvious that he was just as excited as we had imagined him to be!

I love that the Dreamtex bedding has such bright and bold colours, with the characters perfectly portrayed just like they are shown on the screen and in the action figures Harry plays with each. day. The bedding is lovely and soft to the touch and, as I have learned since, washes really well too!

The PJ Masks set is also fully reversible with an alternative design on the reverse side, again something Harry was delighted to discover. I love that with reversible bedding you get two sets for the price of one and it can really change the feel of a room just by flipping it over.

Alongside the character range, Dreamtex are also working with Repreve®, the leading performance fibre made from recycled plastic bottles, to apply National Geographic designs across a new bedlinen range made from this unique and ethical material. I have never heard of anything like this before and commend Dreamtext for such a positive move in the consumer market.

As well as having a wonderful range of bedding, Dreamtex also have accompanying accessories including towels such as this one in a PJ Masks design. For children  who are reluctant to have a bath, or like mine reluctant to get out of the bath, a PJ Mask towel can work wonders in coaxing them out!

The girls were also excited by these accompanying cushions, again available in a choice of designs, with their favourite L.O.L Surprise! dolls on a soft, bean filled case. When you unzip the cushion you can flip the cover to reveal an alternate design on the inside, something the children were over the moon to discover!
