Top 5 places to visit in Liverpool for families

Living in the North West we love to visit Liverpool as a family. We can get a direct train at the end of our road and be in central Liverpool in just over half an hour, and for the children the train journey is always part of the fun! We are sharing our top five favourite things to do as a family in Liverpool.

1. The World Museum 

There’s no better place to explore the wonders of the natural world than World Museum Liverpool, where you can see everything from live colonies of insects to historic zoological and botanical exhibits. With interactive fun in the Bug House and Aquarium, you can also discover the planetarium (our favourite part!), the ethnology collection and the human body in the Weston Discovery Centre. With free entry it’s a great day out for even larger families like ours.

2. Jungle Rumble indoor adventure golf

With two exciting 18 hole courses, featuring a jungle swamp and volcano, it’s a great way to spend a day if the weather isn’t great. I also love that, with ten years between my youngest and oldest, it’s something we can all enjoy regardless of age and ability. Although Gaz has been known to get quite competitive!

3. Imagine That! Underwater Street. 

I used to visit here often on school trips, and couldn’t wait to take my four here when they got a little older. It’s the most amazing discovery centre with so much to see and do. You can explore the many different areas including our imagination village, construction site, art area, water area and science zone. We have spent some fantastic days out there and it’s always a hit!

4. Jungle Parc 

Jungle Parc is a high wire forest adventure which has two difference courses where visitors can trek, swing and climb through the trees on over 45 different activities created to cater for all abilities.

The Adventure Course is designed for children from the age of 4 and has activities such as rocket launchers, rope bridges, swings and cargo nets. Even better, parents can accompany children free of charge on this course.
