You Love Travelling To The US, But Should You Live There?

The US is a wonderful country in so many ways. It’s a world leader in practically every field. And for the last fifty years or so, it has been the only true superpower, ushering in an era of tremendous global stability.

But what’s it actually like to live there? What are the perks and benefits? Let’s take a look.

Everyone Encourages You To Succeed

If there was one word that summed up the US, it would be “success.” People living in the country are obsessed with it. They don’t believe in living an ordinary life. Instead, each person almost has a responsibility to live their lives to the full and get the most out of them as possible. This “can do” attitude is infectious and makes you believe that you really can become a master of your own universe.

Often, people moving to the country are the most innovative. The fact that they have the gumption to relocate is also something that drives their decisions to create fantastic businesses and make their lives a success.

Healthcare Is Second-To-None

Media coverage of US healthcare is generally negative although this isn’t always the case. Should you need urgent care you can get it, there just may be some issues related to funding and payment. But there’s no denying that it’s a major driver of US citizenship application. People want to live in the country with the most advanced medical technology in the world.

The Strength Of The Economy Is Unparalleled

Americans themselves worry a great deal about the shape of their economy. But there’s no denying that it is a furiously growing monster. Despite the country’s extreme wealth, the economy continues to grow at around 3 percent per year in normal times which is astonishing. It means that there are continually new economic opportunities and that jobs are being created all the time. There’s no other country like it in the world – so much wealth and so much opportunity at the same time.

There’s Plenty Of Room To Stretch Your Legs

The US is an overwhelmingly rural society. While it is home to a few large metropolises, the majority of the country is wilderness. Unlike Europe, only small parts of it are actually farmed. The rest is left to nature, especially in the west.

This means that if you’re the type of person who loves to go for long hikes, you’ll love living in the country. It offers many beautiful trails through stunning locations, including the Rockies.

It Offers Some Exquisite Natural Beauty

The US has more national parks than practically any other country. That’s because it’s blessed with some of the most stunning natural environments in the world. Yosemite national park is a great example of this, playing host to the highest waterfall in North America. There’s also the epic Grand Canyon and, of course, the Everglades. In fact, there are so many places you can visit, you’ll struggle to see them all during the course of your lifetime. There’s just so much to see.

The weather in the US is also favourable depending on where you live. California, for instance, sees around 300 sunny days per year.
