As a family we have travelled a lot within the UK over the last few years, seeing so many beautiful parts of the country and finding fun and exciting things to do during every stay. One place we have never visited, either as a family or individually, is Norfolk and for that reason we are making plans for a little break over there this Autumn. As with all family holidays they take a lot of planning, a lot of research, and best of all advice from others who have visited before us.
I asked a group of parent bloggers for their suggestions of fun things to see and do in Norfolk and their answers were so helpful!
We hire a cottage in Norfolk and my girls loved Church Farm in Stow Bardolph. It’s a fab day out for little ones with indoor and outdoor activities and lots of animals to feed and pet. We’ve been back year after year! – Laura
Sheringham Beach is a beautiful beach and well worth a visit. There is a museum on the front which has a 360 viewing tower and also a small free volunteer ran museum on the beach front too which is lovely! – Jaymee
Everytime we go up we love going to the Sandringham Estate. The Country Park there is just brilliant and great for a full day of fun – picnics, walks, the works! – Han-son
We loved Dinosaur Adventure, it’s so funny seeing the kids reactions to all the big dinosaurs! – Emma
A boat trip in Morston to see the seals is a fantastic day out and not too expensive! – Amy
Cromer Pier Show is fab for all the family – my girls loved the magic act and the singing and dancing. – Emma
Rock pooling in West Runton or visit Pensthorpe Natural Park! – Lyndsey
Visit the Sealife centre in Great Yarmouth – it’s a great day out! – Sarah
I have loved reading up on everyone’s suggestions and I have to admit, I didn’t realise there was quite so much to do in Norfolk! We are so looking forward to our stay now and I look forward to sharing it all with you!
