Follow your passions
A good way to find a job you love is to follow your passions. It’s very hard to thrive in an industry that you have no interest in. Think about what your main interests are and what types of jobs relate to this.
There may be a job out there that directly uses your hobbies. If you love baking cakes, you could pour all your energy into becoming a cake maker. If you love playing guitar, you may be able to find a job as a guitar teacher or a musician for hire.
If you think such jobs are too competitive or you’d prefer to keep your hobbies as hobbies, there may still be ways of following your passions by finding jobs that are relevant. You should also consider your personality. Certain jobs are much better suited to certain personalities. You could thrive in jobs such as counselling or clergy work – you could be much better at interpreting spoken information than others and could find it very rewarding.
