Easter fun with Matalan

Earlier this month, when Matalan asked invited us to take part in some Easter activities to feature over on their blog, we jumped at the chance! I have been a huge fan of Matalan for years and although we often buy our clothes from here, and we love their Christmas gift range, I had no idea that they had so many lovely products for Easter, including decorations, clothing and craft sets!

We were kindly sent a range of Easter craft sets to try out, and Eva was so excited to try them. I’ll be honest, the thought of doing crafts with the children always sends me into a panic, the thought of having to come up with an idea in the first place, before trailing around the shops looking for all of the bits and pieces we need to create our “masterpiece” – and I use that term loosely! Which is why I love using these craft sets from Matalan which not only include everything we need, but come with full instructions too!

I love that the craft sets are designed so that children can do them with minimal help, something which Eva (our Little Miss Independent!) was very happy about.

As you can see, Eva was so proud of her egg and promptly asked could we hang it on the Christmas tree, I’m not sure she has quite got the hang of Easter yet!!

Up next was the ‘Making your own Easter mask’ kit which included a bunny, chicken and lamb mask. Eva chose to make the bunny mask and again, with all pieces pre-cut and the instructions very clear, it meant that she was able to do this with virtually no assistance.

She really enjoyed making the mask and the finished result was not only super effective, but super cute too!

Along with the crafts we were very lucky to receive a special Easter outfit, available from Matalan, complete with the sweetest bunny trainers I have ever seen! My only disappointment with these trainers is that they don’t come in an adults size 6!!

It has been so lovely to enjoy some Easter activities together this week, and with the sun finally making an appearance we are hoping for a lovely, sunny, and chocolate filled Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!!
