Christmas gift ideas for teenage boys

The last few Christmas’s I have really struggled for gift ideas for Lewis. At almost thirteen, and receiving presents from both us and his Dad each Christmas, he already has a bike, a scooter, a playstation 4, an Xbox, an ipad, a phone and everything else he could possibly want or need. But even at his age, I don’t want him to wake up on Christmas morning to just an envelope of cash, because although he no longer believes in Father Christmas, I still want to experience the look on his face when he’s opening his presents with the youngest three.

Thanks to some good suggestions from friends on Facebook, and managing to drag a few ideas out of Lewis, I have a few presents in mind, so for those of you still struggling, hopefully you will find some inspiration in the second of my gift guides!

1. The Midnight Gang, by David Walliams.

The Midnight Gang tells an extraordinarily heart warming and, of course, funny story of five children on a hospital ward – and on a quest for adventure! It is a story of friendship and magic – and of making dreams come true. Readers are set to be utterly spellbound by this heartfelt story that will bring magic to everyone’s Christmas. Currently £5 from Amazon.

2. Lords Full Double plastic cricket set

This full practice set is perfect for young and aspiring cricketers. The set contains a pair of stumps, two bats and a ball and is perfect for play and practice anywhere. RRP £30 Available to buy here at the Lords on-line shop.

3. Personalised chocolate from Morsetoad

Starting from just £2.75 you can send a personalised message this Christmas, made entirely of chocolate! There are so many options ranging from funny to romantic, or invent your own message with a photo upload of your choice. Visit for more details.

4. Play Station VR

Although costly, this is the must have item for teens this year. The new PlayStation VR adds a Virtual Reality system to the PS4 console so you can experience games in an entirely new way. You’ll be at the centre of the action, living every detail of extraordinary new worlds – and you’ll feel like you’re actually inside the game. Available from £349.99.

5. North Face backpack.

North Face seems to be hugely popular amongst teenagers at the moment, and this would make a great school bag. Currently reduced to £40 here at JD sports.

6. Oral B Pro 650 Electric toothbrush.

If you’re teens are anything like Lewis, everything is too much effort – including cleaning their teeth.  I love this electric toothbrush, currently half price at £25 from Debenhams, and at least I can be assured that Lewis is brushing his teeth properly, even if he isn’t making his bed!

7. Grow your own Venus fly trap.

This kit comes with everything you need to grown your own Venus Fly Trap, and it’s definitely something that Lewis would love. I found this on where you can find just about anything for a loved one this Christmas on any budget. RRP £12.95.

8. Lynx Elite Touch Speaker Gift Set.

I’m sure that every teenage boy receives a Lynx Gift Set at one time in their lives, and this one is fab. Not only does it come with two sprays and a shower gel, but it also contains a Magic Touch Speaker that amplifies music directly from your smartphone. Currently half price at £7 from Tesco.

9. Retro sweets gift hamper.

They don’t make sweets like they used to, and as a child of the 80’s these are some of my favourite. I love that our children can have a taste of our childhood with these hampers, this one is from and is £29.95.
I hope that you enjoyed my Christmas gift guide, look out for my very own Christmas wish list this week!

Loving these ideas for teenage boys especially the toothbrush, I notice many seem to forego tooth hygiene for some reason lol.

Yes! It’s so important that we keep reminding them how precious their teeth are, even when they are far too old for us to sit over them making sure they do it properly! xx

My eldest is 10 and a half, and luckily, she still believes in the magic! I have the same issue as in she no longer wants toys and has mainly asked for clothes or money to go shopping with. But again, I don’t want her just to have money. I love the grow your own Venus flytrap! Sarah #FabFridayPost
