Christmas gift guide for under fours *win*

This year is probably the first year that Harry has really *got* Christmas, at three he is so excited and has asked for just about every Paw Patrol toy going! I always found it really hard to buy for him as a baby and toddler and I’m not even sure he would have noticed if I hadn’t! That said there are lots of lovely baby and toddler gifts out there this year for under fours.

I love fun but practical gifts and this In the Night Garden Twinkling Lullaby Igglepiggle is perfect. At almost 30cm tall this is a really lovely sized toy to snuggle up to and plays soothing lullabies from In the Night Garden TV show. Squeeze Igglepiggle’s left hand to hear four different lullabies while the star he is holding glows in warm colours to calm and relax your child at bedtime. He is super soft, has a huggable body and is complete with his iconic red blanket. Currently £19.99 at Argos, I totally recommend it.

Another fun but practical gift is this gorgeous three piece set from Portmeirion featuring Peppa Pig! With a plate, bowl and mug it’s the perfect set for little ones just learning to eat and drink from “real” plates and mugs. I know mine always felt incredibly grown up when they received their first china dinner set. At £23 it makes a lovely gift and I doubt there is a child out there who isn’t a fan of Peppa pig!

Super Wings Transforming Dizzy is another must have toy this year with an articulated figure which transforms from helicopter to robot mode, and back again in ten easy steps. I love how chunky these figures are and all in bright colours, ready to re-enact missions from the popular TV show. Super Wings are a huge hit in our house! Currently £12.99 at John Lewis.

Super Wings Remote Control Jett is another fabulous toy for little ones this year. Super Wings Jett can zoom forward and spin 360 degrees all with an easy to use remote control. It can also light up and make sounds at the push of a button. The remote control is designed for little hands and, although not recommended for children under three, at three Harry has no problems whatsoever controlling it. At £19.99 it’s a great first remote control toy.

We are huge fans of the CAT Roll ‘N Go Machines from Toy State. The CAT Roll ‘N Go Machines are characterized Cat machines with spin-ball action! They are easy to use, simply spin the ball for motorised forward and reverse drive and watch them go. They also feature fun vocals, lights, sounds and music which is great for little ones and, currently priced at £12.99, a really affordable gift.

Harry has been desperate for some headphones this year after seeing the girls wear theirs on the iPads. With him being just three I struggled to find any but these fun Snuggly Rascals kids headphones from are suitable for ages three and over! In a choice of four fab designs they are both fun and comfortable for little ones, ideal for using at home or on your travels. The maximum volume is capped at 85dB and they fasten with a quick release velcro fastening. I also love that they can be washed (with the earphones removed), something which is always handy when it comes to little ones! RRP £14.99.

What better time of year to buy a little one the softest snuggle blanket from Room to Grow? Available in pink and grey these blankets measure 1700mm by 1500mm so they really are lovely and warm to snuggle into. Fully machine washable and able to be tumble dried they are a huge hit with parents too! Priced at £25 they are a real luxury gift this Christmas.

This CAT Machine Maker Junior Operator toy is a great toy for children who love to make things. Harry is never happier than with his plastic tool kit in his hand, and I know he would adore this! The construction set comes fully equipped with a chunky screwdriver, machine operator figure and pieces to build your very own Cat machine! For added safety, the bolts always remain attached to their machine pieces, making this construction set safe enough for the most junior Cat operator. RRP £9.99.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a cuddly toy, and I love this Snuggle Buddies Friendship Bunny. At 32cm tall, Nox is an adorable grey bunny rabbit with floppy ears and, whether bedtime or playtime, he will be your friend for life. Suitable from birth I’m sure that this bunny will become someone’s very best friend this Christmas, and at just £6 in The Entertainer sale, he’s a real bargain!

Find me a gift has some amazing gift ideas for Christmas and this hooded towel dinosaur is one of my favourites. Everybody knows that Harry is obsessed with dinosaurs and I know he is going to be over the moon with this 100% cotton towel with a jersey lined hood. With a 3D head, eyes and jagged spikes, I think that bath time is going to get a lot more fun! RRP £18.99.

I only recently discovered the website Bobux but already it is one of my absolute favourites. They have the most gorgeous selection of baby and toddler shoes including these gorgeous Ranch Toffee Boots.

Available in a choice of five colours, with leather upper and lining, they are one of Bobux’ most popular styles. Perfect for every day wear and great with all outfit combinations, they really are a timeless classic. I love that all of the Bobux range have been designed with children’s foot health in mind so not only do they look great, but they are kind to little ones feet too. At £52, the price reflects the quality and comfort of these boots and having tried our first pair, I can’t see us every going back to alternate brands!

It can be hard to know what to buy for young babies and yet Mama & Belle have the most gorgeous teething necklaces which, although Mum’s can wear, are perfect for little hands to hold and teething gums to chomp on! They also do this Kids Rosie Rainbow Necklace which is perfect for little ladies who like to dress up! With all of the safety features of their teething necklaces, including featuring a breakaway clasp, the necklace is so resilient it can even be worn for bath time! Made from high quality, BPA free, food grade silicone it’s a lovely little dress up accessory. Be sure to check out their other items!

Bath toys are always a win and this Spin and Splash Jellyfish from Tomy is so much fun! Gold winner for best bath toy 2017, you simply dip the jellyfish under water to fill it up, hold it high above your head to see the tentacles spin around and it splashes water! It’s a really fun toy for bath time and at just £9.99 it’s a real bargain!

Build-a-Johnny tractor is another fun toy for pre-schoolers featuring two ways to play – free rolling tractor or buildable set. This 16 piece set includes a battery powered drill to take apart and build Johnny tractor back together again. I love that it is made of chunky parts, easy for little hands to assemble, and is in lovely bright colours. RRP £22.99.

Molang is a cute and cuddly bunny from the popular TV show and You Tube series “Molang”. I hadn’t heard of this until recently but as soon as I saw Molang I knew that Harry would love him. He is super soft and cosy, made from a carefully processed material with light weight stuffing so that he can be squished and squeezed in every which way! He would make a great pillow for on the move, or someone to snuggle up to at night, and at £16.99 I would definitely recommend it.

For small babies you can’t go wrong with the essentials and Joolz knows all about those! The Joolz essential blankets come in five gorgeous colours and are a staple for any baby. Made from 100% organic cotton they absorb moisture, regulate heat and are baby soft to the touch. Measuring 75 x 100cm they are big enough for nap time or out in the pram, and I love that the colours also co-ordinate with the Joolz pushchair range! At £50 they are such a worth while investment and I know we used ours with all three of the youngest.

Also for little ones is this range of Bioderma ABCderm with products such as moisturisers, shampoo, cleansers and wipes all for babies and children. Although it’s not the most fun gift, it’s something really practical for babies who, let’s face it, are way more interesting in the wrapping paper! BIODERMA has used its dermatological expertise to benefit paediatrics by offering an extra safe and extra gentle hygiene range for babies. All products are specifically formulated in accordance with the ABCDerm Dermatological Safety Commitment to respect the delicate skin of babies and young children.

We love wooden toys in this house and Hape has some of the best. This Instant Waffles Playset is such a lovely addition to any toy kitchen with a pretend waffle maker that even includes sliced strawberry toppings. Hape toys are so well made, perfect for imaginative play and always stand the test of time. RRP £15.99.

The Hape Friendship Activity Cube is another fantastic gift idea and perfect for little ones as they grow. This Pepe & Friends Activity Cube features five different play surfaces, ranging from a ball maze, to shape puzzles, gear explorations, colorful mazes, and more. As you interact with the different sides, try creating stories about what Pepe & Friends might be doing as they play with you!

Hape Toys is one of the world’s largest producers of toys made from sustainable materials. Hape toys are both creatively designed and eco-friendly. Neither culture, nor language, nor gender inhibits the intuitive process of play. All of the products meet, and more often, exceed the strictest international standards for quality and safety. And from a parents point of view, they are my absolute favourite brand of wooden toys hands down. RRP £59.99.

They all look amazing but I think it would have to be the Kids Rosie Rainbow Necklace. Great for my daughter to play with, to twiddle when breastfeeding and for gnawing on too, she’s currently cutting 4 teeth, with another two on the way!

My son would love the hooded towel, despite the fact he is 5 years old he is obsessed with hooded baby towels (its a sensory thing) and often wears them around the house like a cape and has to be physically detatched from it. He’d think the dino hood was awesome

The blankets are beautiful but my little boy would love the waffles as we’ve just bought him a wooden toy kitchen for Christmas (well, Father Christmas has!) and the activity cube would be perfect for my 8 month old daughter in a couple of months. Lovely giveaway, thank you & Merry Christmas! x
