The Book of Everyone – Review & Giveaway!

If you’re anything like me, when it comes to buying gifts, it’s a real struggle to think of new ideas. I have always preferred to give a personalised present to show that a great deal of thought has gone into the gift, that I have carefully considered the recipient and taken the time to find something they would really love, but as a busy Mum, that isn’t always possible. Far too often I find myself at the local shop grabbing a bottle of wine and a box of Milk Tray, a scribbled card and an apologetic, “Happy Birthday!” as I hand it over, three days weeks too late. So when I was approached by The Book of Everyone I jumped at the chance to try something that would make a lovely present as well as making my life easier.

If you haven’t heard of The Book of Everyone, it has been described as “a gigantic heart-thumping, grin-inducing, lip-wobbling celebration of the individual.” With a view that everyone needs to feel loved and unique, the books were created to create a book tailored to anyone, stuffed full of curious facts and curveball miscellany, all set against a backdrop of world events. And that’s exactly what they do.

We had some sad news last month that Lewis’s Grandad was very poorly and set to undergo several months of chemotherapy, something which has inevitably caused Lewis a great deal of worry and upset. As a parent I have really struggled with ways to comfort him, unable to promise him that everything will be okay as I usually would in most situations. And so when The Book of Everyone offered me the chance to create a book for someone special, I knew that it would make  the perfect gift from Lewis to his Grandad.

It was so easy to do, Lewis, at twelve, did most of it himself, and the books can be personalised with photos, quotes and pictures. Our book arrived within the week and I was instantly impressed with the bright, glossy pages and the quality of the book as a whole. Lewis couldn’t wait to give it to his Grandad, the perfect pick me up for someone very special. He assured me that his Grandad had absolutely loved it and I hope that it is something he can keep for many, many, years to come.

Alongside this, The Book of Everyone have launched a new book just in time for Christmas, aimed at children filled with funny quotes, pictures and advice as they grow. With Lewis going through an emotional time with his Grandad, it was the perfect opportunity to give him a little something to keep his spirits up, and I made sure that his book was packed with positivity and words to make him smile. Don’t eat yellow snow was a personal favourite, that joke just never grows old.

img_0026I was really impressed with the ordering process from start to finish and the end result is something really lovely that anyone would be happy to receive as a gift, especially this Christmas. If you would like to be in with a chance of winning a book for someone special in your life, simply enter below! The winner will be notified via email on 11th December. Good Luck!!
