Ever since Megan was a baby her favourite film has been The Lion King, mine too if I’m honest. I had no idea until recently that Disney Junior had created The Lion Guard with new and original characters, Kion and Scar. Since we discovered this show it hasn’t been off our screens, and all three of the little ones are hooked!
When we were sent the Lion Guard Rise of Scar Playset to review I knew that the children would love it, and I wasn’t wrong!
The playset comes with the shows main character Kion, a lion cub with movable head and legs.
There are so many features including a light up Scar with pop out flames;
A monkey launching tree trap which doubles up as a swing for Kion;
A lava pool trap which was the children’s favourite as it launched a ball of lava at Scar (and eachother!);
A collapsing bridge at the push of a button;
And a crocodile pool, ready to snap up anyone who falls from the bridge!
I love that the set really allows the children to use their imaginations, recreating scenes from the show or making up those of their own.
My only negative is that for the price (RRP £49.99) I would have liked a couple more figures so that the children could have really enjoyed the playset together. Anyone with more than one child will understand just how difficult it can be to share one figure between siblings!
Harry was so excited when the girls went to school this morning so that he could swoop on the playset and finally get his hands on Kion, and he happily played with the set for a good hour which speaks volumes for a three year old.
The children are really pleased with the playset and seeing how much they love it I would be happy to recommend this to other parents. When you’re a Lion Guard fan, this set is pretty ROARsome!!
Sorry I just couldn’t resist!!
The Lion Guard Rise of Scar playset is currently available to buy at Smyths toy store.
