Finally the last of my Christmas gift guides, and one that I probably find the most difficult each year – what to buy the man who has everything? Gaz is very difficult to buy for, even though he would claim the opposite, as he is quite particular about what he likes and he doesn’t like, and I’m never quite sure if I’ll get it right! Hopefully he will like something from my Christmas gift guide and if he doesn’t, then number nine may come in useful…..
1. Hotel Chocolat “For him hamper”
I wasn’t too keen on this at first glance, I hate the whole “him” and “her” thing, but actually there is no denying that the men in my life would love this. With two distinctive, small-batch British ales brewed with cocoa; plenty of brooding dark filled chocolates; a smooth, rich 70% dark hot chocolate; crunchy enrobed nuts; and four Rare & Vintage single-origin bars, it would make a great gift, and with any luck, they might even share!! Hotel Chocolat, £60.
2. Ted Baker leather wallet.
I don’t think that you can go wrong with a wallet when it comes to men. Black or brown, they are far less picky about their wallets than we are about our handbags! This one is lovely, in chocolate brown leather. Available from John Lewis at £32.
Men love gadgets, and this one would keep them entertained for hours. It may only be small, but with a powerful 3.7V 240mAh battery it gives 9 minutes of flying time when fully charged. With adjustable gyro sensitivity and 6 axis flight to ensure your flying experience is as smooth as possible as well as mastering flips and tricky manoeuvres. This one is from www.menkind.co.uk at £39.99.
4. Star Wars Blu-ray complete saga.
With all 9 discs of the Star Wars saga, this is the perfect gift for any Star Wars fan. Just £49.50 at Amazon, Gaz is hoping that Santa brings it for him this year!
5. Philips Electric Shaver Series 7000.
Designed for sensitive skin, the anti friction coating reduces friction for a smooth, relaxed finish. For use on wet or dry skin, with five direction flexing heads, beard trimmer attachment and SmartClick cleansing brush. Even better, one hour charge provides fifty minutes usage, that’s seventeen shaves! Currently on offer at Boots for £130, saving a whopping £169.99 on the RRP.
Let’s face it, men love beer, and what better excuse than Christmas to have a few drinks? There are so many gift sets out there, including beer subscriptions, and if you’re ever stuck for ideas then beer is usually a safe bet! This one is from www,beerhunter.co.uk with gifts starting at just £3.99.
I always buy Gaz aftershave at Christmas, whether he has asked for it or not. I usually spend ages trying out all of the samples, until I can’t even remember which one is which, but this is my absolute favourite, Dior Sauvage. I tend to buy a gift box to make it that little bit more special, and this one, from www.theperfumeshop.com at £62.50, may well be working it’s way into my shopping basket!
8. Novelty Socks.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without novelty socks, and I love these from Tesco. At just £2 they are such a fun little stocking filler and the men in my family will be wearing these on Christmas day, whether they like it or not!
This is the perfect gift for the men you love to hate, be that your least favourite colleague in the Secret Santa, or for those hormone-fuelled days when you can’t stand the sight of your husband! Available here from ASOS, £6.50.
I hope that you have enjoyed the last of my gift guides and found some inspiration for the men in your life!
