Our little Rapunzels, featuring Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Blow & Go Nuts – Review & Giveaway

Before I had the girls, when I only ever imagined my life with two boys, I never thought about the possibilities of buying pretty dresses, frilly ankle socks, cute little hair grips and styling their hair in a multitude of ways. And yet now, having two very girly girls, dressing them up to look equally gorgeous, and scouring You Tube for tutorials on the most intricate of braids, I can’t imagine a life without my daughters.

Everywhere we go, people always comment on the girls hair; so perfectly blonde, thick and shiny, reaching way down their back, leading both of the girls to truly believe that they are Rapunzel. And yet as beautiful as it is, it’s a nightmare to take care of, particularly on a Monday morning, when we have over slept, and have approximately fifteen minutes to get everybody up and dressed….and their hair is knotted with their morning Weetabix. In that way, I completely understand why parents of young girls opt for a very practical bob!

So anything that helps to make our life easier, and take care of the girls hair at the same time, is always welcomed. And through a combination of four products we have finally found the winning formula that means our little Rapunzel’s can keep their hair right down to their bottoms, until the dreaded day comes when they ask to have it all chopped off!

L’oreal Kids Extra Gentle 2 in 1

Of all the shampoos I have tried for the girls, this is our favourite. Neither of the girls enjoy having their hair washed, our next door neighbours must wonder what the hell we are doing to the children given the noise they make at bath time but, with this being a shampoo and conditioner in one, it halves the time it takes to wash their hair and leaves it beautifully soft and shiny afterwards.

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Kids Detangling Spray

At just £2 this detangling spray is a lifesaver! I spray it on while their hair is still damp just to give it some added softness and protection while blow-drying, and again in the morning to detangle if they’ve had a particularly restless night. Megan is ridiculously hair sore and this prevents many a melt down!

Tangle Angel Brush

I doubt that there is a hairbrush out there we haven’t tried over the last four years. We’ve been through every comb, soft bristled brush, hard toothed brush, and so many different tangle teasers I’ve lost count, and yet none have been as good as this one.

The Tangle Angel professional detangling brush is not only perfect for detangling both wet and dry hair, but also makes a great blow drying brush and is suitable for all hair types. Available in a range of gorgeous colours, it is anti-static, anti-bacterial, water resistant and, due to it’s ergonomic shape, it doesn’t slip out of your hand in the same way that other tangle teasers can. I can honestly say that it is the best £14.95 I’ve spent on a brush, anyone who has witnessed one of Megan’s meltdowns from having her hair brushed will completely understand when I say, I’d even pay double!!

Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Blow & Go Nuts Dryer

Not only is this hairdryer the most gorgeous colour of pink and rose gold (you can just imagine the girls faces when they saw it!), but it actually nourishes and repairs your hair while it dries.

Previously I would try to avoid blow drying the girls hair when possible as it has a tendency to dry out, but with the grille of this dryer infused with coconut oil, it promises to dry hair quicker, sleeker, softer and healthier, and we noticed a huge improvement on how shiny and sleek the girls hair was after blow drying.

With a powerful 2400W motor, we were able to dry the girls hair twice as fast, and finish with the cool shot function to lock in all of that shininess.

The dryer has two speeds and three heat settings to keep you in control, an air concentrator to help with precision styling, a removable rear grille for easy cleaning and maintenance and a risk free, 2 year guarantee. And with results like these, I would recommend it to anyone!

The Coco Loco Blow & Go Nuts dryer is currently on sale at just £23.47 via the Amazon link below.

I’ve got the joy of this all to come as Darcey grows up! She is obsessed with my hairbrush at the moment so I’m hoping that she won’t complain about me styling her hair.

  2. January 10, 2017 / 7:42 pm

Oh i love her hair! We have just received the Angel brushes too and im looking forward to trying them on the girls hair as we only ever use the detangle brushes anyway due to thick unruly hair!

  3. January 10, 2017 / 9:31 pm

  7. January 11, 2017 / 8:52 am

Oh what stunning hair! My eldest’s is not as long but she hates having it brushed and I’m a bugger for not always doing a good job to avoid a strop! These products look fab…you just want anything that is good for their hair and saves time! Thanks for sharing with #bestandworst x

Definitely, whatever is easiest and quietest, ha!! Your eldest has beautiful hair, I’m sure your little one will too! xx

  8. January 11, 2017 / 8:53 am

Oh wow, their hair is GORGEOUS!
I have two girls, and we have ended up opting for a bob for Miss Six. Her hair is incredibly thick and her lungs are incredibly powerful, haha. I couldn’t handle listening to her screaming through all the hair washing and brushing.
Would love to know how often you wash your girls’ hair?

    • Laura Dove
      January 11, 2017 / 7:09 pm

Thank you Fern, they are so lucky, I am majorly jealous! We used to wash their hair every other day, mainly because they couldn’t manage to keep it out of the bath water, but now they are a little older we wash it maybe twice a week, sometimes only the once. It’s so thick, Eva’s hair especially just never gets greasy! I have to wash mine every day!!! xx

What beautiful hair! I use the tangle teaser on myself as I have thick hair (and lots of it!) but the angel brush looks amazing! May have to purchase it 😉

    • Laura Dove
      January 11, 2017 / 7:07 pm

I love it Sophie, the tangle teasers are fab but they are forever flying out of my hand! The angel brush is so much easier to grip hold of! xx

  10. January 11, 2017 / 9:57 am

My girls also have really long hair which can take a lot of detangling – looks like a great dryer. SARAH x

      January 11, 2017 / 7:06 pm

Girls love having long hair don’t they? I blame all of these Disney princesses, none have short hair! Saying that I can’t bring myself to cut it, Eva has only had one hair cut in almost 5 years! xx

  11. January 11, 2017 / 10:26 am

Her hair is gorgeous! I use the same hair products on my daughter. It keeps her hair is such fab condition

    • Laura Dove
      January 11, 2017 / 7:04 pm

Ahh Lewis was a slow-grower with his hair. He was bald until two!! The girls were born with masses of hair and it grows super fast – I am so jealous!! xx

  13. January 11, 2017 / 2:05 pm

Your daughters hair is stunning! My 3 year old has lovely long hair however since being very young she will not let me brush it or do anything with it and its a nightmare! I now use a detangling conditioner on it so its a bit less tangly in the mornings but I really love the angel brush so I will have to get one for her! She may even let me brush her hair with it! 🙂

    • Laura Dove
      January 11, 2017 / 6:55 pm

Ahh thank you. I have major hair envy, if only she got that hair from me!! Megan is the same, HATES having her hair brushed or even touched, but the Tangle Angel has made a huge difference! Good luck! xx

  14. January 11, 2017 / 11:37 pm

I really need to get some of these products in my life. My eldest hates having her hair washed but I think I could persuade her if there were a few nice smelling treats involved. The hairdryer sounds great too! Great price as well.

It’s always a drama washing childrens hair, I don’t know any child who actually enjoys it! My girls love anything pink so all of these things definitely help! xx

  15. January 12, 2017 / 8:11 am

Aww, your little girls are so adorable. I don’t blame you for wanting to keep their hair as rapunzel-like as long as possible. What a fab giveaway too – I love rose gold!

      January 12, 2017 / 9:09 am

Thank you. I’m so jealous of their hair! I love rose gold too, definitely my favourite colour!xx

  16. January 12, 2017 / 11:23 am

Her hair is so gorgeous! I can imagine it does take time to look after it but the results are amazing!

  17. January 12, 2017 / 8:39 pm

Since Tigs was really weeny, we have always asked her ‘are you the real Rapunzel?’ which she totally loves. Her hair is long down to her waist, thick and with a soft curl. My top tip is to always braid when damp…it’s a battle before bedtime thats never regretted in the morning! We also swear by the detangle spray (have you tried vosenes version? It’s lice repelling – my biggest fear!)
Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub – I’ve entered!

    • Laura Dove
      January 13, 2017 / 6:05 pm

Yes!! We do the braiding while damp trick too, it’s the best feeling the next day when the brush just goes straight through!! I haven’t tried the Vosene one, although we have used the lice repellent shampoo. I shall check it out! xx

  18. January 12, 2017 / 9:22 pm

They have such lovely hair! These tips are great! My little girl is only 3 Months so has no hair yet haha! I’m hoping one day she will want long hair and your post will come in very handy! x

Great review honey! I understand what you mean. I have tried a bob on both my girls and it did look super cute, but when Aspen fell in ,love with The Little Mermaid it was all about the long hair and with her having strawberry blonde hair she thought she was Ariel and of course her sister had to be like her big sister so they both have long hair. Aspen takes care of her own hair beautifully now, but Aprils can still get knotty. They are the same they get so many comments about their hair. #stayclassmama

      January 13, 2017 / 6:00 pm

Awww little girls love to have long hair don’t they? Its all because of these Disney princesses I’m sure! Eva’s hair is much thicker and stronger than Meggys, I think Meg would really suit a little bob and her hair would benefit from it, but she loves having it long, even though she hates having it washed and brushed! I have major hair envy, of my girls and yours! xx

  20. January 13, 2017 / 7:19 am

They have such gorgeous hair! I love their angel brush, its so sweet and that hair dryer is beautiful. I love the colour. A good hairdryer is so important when it comes to protecting your hair. x

Thank you. I’m so jealous! Aww I think all children hate having their hair washed and brushed, Harry is terrible for it although he will let Megan sit and brush it for hours! xx

  22. January 13, 2017 / 12:29 pm

Oh wow your girls are absolutely gorgeous! That hair is amazing! My daughters is still quite short and SO curly. She is also a very sweaty sleeper and so wakes up with it absolutely matted to her head every morning. We already use the same de tangling spray but I will definitely be looking into the angel brush. It looks much easier than our current tangle teaser. Great post, thanks for linking up with #fortheloveofBLOG
