Memories of growing up – Giveaway!

One of my biggest reasons for blogging is, quite simply, to record our memories as the children grow. I love that one day, when I am old and grey and the children are parents themselves, we will have all of these memories to look back on, and that in itself is invaluable.
So when I was introduced to Memories of growing up, a gorgeous on-line gift shop whose focus is on creating unique ways to preserve childhood memories, it was right up our street. Camilla Warren, a London Mum of three, first came up with the idea of a portable, roll-up height chart after two friends were moving house. They were so sad to be leaving behind the memories they had made on the walls, marking their children’s heights as they grew, that one actually took the doorframe with her! After years of research Camilla launched her very first TallTape which is now one of Amazons best sellers world wide!
Over time Camilla expanded into other keepsake gifts such as the Memories Stick – the contemporary answer to the scrapbook. It comes preloaded with folders and ideas for storing childhood videos, pictures, milestones and even school reports.
The Memories Stick is the perfect way to document your child’s journey from birth to adulthood on one safe, portable and universal device. Beautifully packaged in a white presentation box with gift tag, this compact white leather and chrome hi-speed memory stick comes with masses of storage capacity.
Available in two sizes – 16Gb and 32Gb, priced at £23.99 and £29.99, it really does make the perfect gift. You can even record your own personal video message and add it to the USB to surprise a loved one.
You don’t just have to take my word for it, the Memory Stick recently won a silver award at Made for Mums which speaks volumes!
This is the kind of gift that I would have loved to receive when I had the children, far more than any number of baby rompers, and the perfect present or the Grandparents, loaded with photos of the children.
We have one Memory Stick to give away to one lucky reader! Simply enter via the link below. The winner will be announced on Sunday 28th May! Good Luck!

Definitely, and it’s so handy to have all of the pre-made folders too, such a good idea!

This seems like a great idea. I can definitely relate to the height chart – my parents always made me stand there while they drew a line on the wall to mark how much I grew (or in my case, didn’t grow lol). This memory stick is a great idea in this time of technology and innovation!

A kindred spirit. I’ve said too that I blog so one day my children (and now grandchildren) will be able to look back and know a bit more about me. The things I thought about and the people in my life. Also, there will be family recipes, because so many good stories are told (and retold) around the dinner table. Love the idea of a memory stick too .. what a wonderful gift to give to friends and family

Yes! I think our blogs will be an invaluable part of our legacy, hopefully for many generations to come to read and learn a little more about their Mum, their Grandma, or their Great Grandma! xx

I have an 11 month old (rainbow baby) Hannah and this would be a fantastically handy gadget for us. I must have at least 1000 photos of her already & have even had to make her own (very private) Instagram page just to store them and leave some memory on my phone lol.
Fingers crossed to win so I can keep making memories for her to look back on and enjoy 🙂

Oh and my own favourite childhood memories are of my grandmas metal biscuit tin box that all her old family photos where kept in. I loved to look at them with her and listen to all her stories of our family and the journeys they took through life. Gifts and toys are fun but memories like that are priceless
